SPICE WORLD 2019

When the Spice Girls re grouped for their 2019 Spice World Tour, we were brought in to be part of the large team of costume creators to bring Gabriella Slade’s ideas to life. Each designer had a section of the show to dress the back up dancers in relation to the songs on the set list. As we had been given a ballad section (“Viva forever”, “Let Love Lead the Way”) the theme was flowy, angelic and mystical, with Gabriella’s sketches resembling organic and free flowing structures coming off the body, almost as if the flowers in a magic garden had come to life. From her sketches we created swooping curved body structures draped in hand dyed pleated fabric finished with crystals.
